An event for every season and every reason.
The heart of any community is the downtown and it is here, in downtown Alliston, where the community comes together to interact, to celebrate and to enjoy the unique intersection of rural and urban that the area has to offer.
To encourage this gathering of community and highlight the historic charm of the downtown, the Alliston Business Improvement Association (ABIA) holds various ‘signature events’ to bring young and old together and to celebrate Alliston’s unique character.
The kickoff to these signature events is the opening of the Alliston Farmer’s Market. Located where Mill Street and Victoria Street meet in the core of the community, the outdoor market takes place every Saturday from 8am to 2pm from May until October and offers a wide range of produce, craft and artisanal products.
The opening of the market is then followed by several fun, familyoriented and seasonally focused events. These include the Rurban Food Truck Rally that takes place on the third weekend in the month of June, Potato Festival the weekend following the Civic Holiday in August, Monster Mash happening in late October and Hometown Christmas taking place on the third weekend in the month of November.
Make a plan to check out these signature events and experience Alliston’s unique character and charm.
